Chilli Barn is a cosy, intimate barn wedding venue on the Chevin in Leeds. It is surrounded by meadows and has amazing countryside views so it’s got the perfect backdrop for awesome colourful wedding photography.
I photographed Gemma & Adam’s beautiful Chilli Barn wedding on a gorgeous sunny Saturday and had the best time!
The Wedding
The wedding day was beautiful! The couple had their ceremony outside under a wedding arch that the bride’s dad had made completely by hand! It was absolutely stunning and they even had a few animal guests as the cows in the field behind watched too!
They decorated Chilli Barn with dried flowers, embroidered table names and hand-painted candles, which I loved.
I adore everything about this barn venue because it’s so relaxed and makes you feel right at home.
Weddings at the Chilli Barn are amazing because the venue is bright and charming and the staff are all so lovely too.

Chilli Barn is perfect for relaxed, intimate weddings, and is the loveliest, most flexible and unique place to get married in the Otley area. This exclusive-use venue offers so much potential for wedding photos.
You have the option to add a marquee or yurt outside for extra space – and the large lawn area is perfect for garden games and photos. Chilli Barn wedding ceremonies can take place indoors or outdoors so you really can have the best of both worlds. There are even straw bales surrounding a fire pit which is perfect for cosying up next to at your wedding reception.
Receptions at the Chilli Barn
Upstairs there is a spacious mezzanine floor for you to use for your wedding breakfast. You can DIY your wedding as this couple did, or there is a local wedding stylist, Oakleaf Weddings, that does an amazing job of making your wedding at the Chilli Barn look the part!
The catering for weddings at Chilli Barn is fully vegetarian which is amazing and, as a bonus, the whole venue is dog friendly too! There’s nothing better than having your dog in your wedding photos!
You can make use of the outside space late into the evening and not have to worry about disturbing any residents nearby, except for the cows!
The downstairs area of the barn is the perfect spot for your first dance later in the evening too.
After the Ceremony
We took some photos outside the Chilli Barn in the fields and down on the stone steps near the cafe. Afterwards, we went to Otley Chevin across the road for more photos in the lovely woodland area. The couple were so bubbly and happy that getting natural photos of them together was an absolute breeze!
The couple’s friends and family gathered in the seating area and enjoyed some outdoor wedding speeches. If you’re having a summer wedding at Chilli Barn, outdoor speeches are a great idea. An informal setting will make your guests feel more comfortable and you’ll get some amazing wedding photos!
The Couple
The bride wore a stunning Rembo Styling dress, green velvet shoes and her grandmother’s engagement ring. She had a gorgeous bunch of dried wildflowers that will be saved forever!
The bride’s boho wedding dress style was the perfect fit for a relaxed barn wedding like this!

There is no accommodation option at Chilli Barn. The nearest hotels are Chevin Country Park Hotel & Spa which is a 2-minute drive away, Britannia Leeds Bradford Airport Hotel which is a 6-minute drive away and Chevin End Guest House which is also a 6-minute drive away.
Is There Parking at Chilli Barn?
Yes, there is parking at the barn for guests. There are also two public car parks for Chevin Forest Country Park across the road.
How Many Wedding Guests Does Chilli Barn Allow?
Chilli Barn can host a maximum of 60 wedding day guests and 30 additional evening guests.
