A Quirky Barn Venue
Chilli Barn is an intimate barn wedding venue on the Chevin in Leeds.
It is surrounded by meadows and has amazing countryside views so it’s the perfect location for awesome colourful wedding photography.
The venue is cosy, yet bright with just the right blend of rustic and modern features. The barn has characterful wooden flooring, and oak beams upstairs on the mezzanine. A wall of fairy lights makes the perfect backdrop for an indoor ceremony.

Hey, I’m Jenna and I’m a wedding photographer based in West Yorkshire. I’m all about capturing natural, relaxed and colourful photos of couples on their wedding day!
I’ve photographed several weddings at the Chilli Barn over the years in all seasons and weathers. No matter what, the photos always look great. You’ll find me at the Chilli Barn’s open day on Saturday 15th March 2025.

Chilli Barn is perfect for relaxed, intimate weddings, and is the loveliest, most flexible and unique place to get married in the Otley area.
This exclusive-use venue offers so much potential for wedding photos and the staff are lovely and very helpful.
The whole venue is dog-friendly too! There’s nothing better than having your dog in your wedding photos!
Wedding Photography at Chilli Barn
“Jenna did an amazing job of photographing our wedding. She got a fantastic mix of shots, many beautiful, many very funny, and all so colourful! She was really discrete on the day, even in quite a small venue. She grabbed us quickly in the golden hour to capture a few shots of just us (which are stunning) and she did a great job of putting two very camera-shy people at ease.”
Flexibility to Suit Your Guest Numbers
At your Chilli Barn wedding, you have the option to add a marquee or yurt outside for extra space for your guests during the drinks reception. This can also provide extra cover in bad weather.
The large lawn area is perfect for garden games and photos. Wooden benches are available too giving guests a place to sit and enjoy a drink in the sun.
Chilli Barn wedding ceremonies can take place indoors in the main area downstairs or outdoors and both are equally beautiful in photos.
In the evening, the main barn is cleared of tables and chairs to make way for a dance floor and your first dance and party.
Wedding Receptions at the Chilli Barn

Upstairs there is a spacious mezzanine floor for you to use for your wedding breakfast. You can DIY your wedding decor, or hire a stylist. Their recommended wedding stylist, Oakleaf Weddings, does an amazing job of making your wedding at the Chilli Barn look the part!
The catering for weddings at Chilli Barn is fully vegetarian which is amazing.

You can make use of the outside space late into the evening and not have to worry about disturbing any residents nearby, except for the cows!
There are even straw bales surrounding a fire pit which is perfect for cosying up next to at your wedding reception.
Plenty of Location Choices for Wedding Photos
There are so many spots at the Chilli Barn for your couple portrait photos! The main entrance itself is a gorgeous spot and really shows off the barn and the plants and flowers that surround it.
You can also access the field behind the barn. In the evening, the sun sets in this direction and is an amazing spot for photographing couples in golden hour.
Chilli Barn has a cafe next door and the stone steps in the courtyard are a popular spot for wedding photographers to take their couples. The cafe closes to the public at 4 pm on a weekend so you would have the area to yourselves from this time onwards.
Wedding Photography on Otley Chevin
The entrance to Otley Chevin is just across the road from the Chilli Barn. If you love the idea of capturing some photos in a lovely woodland area this is the perfect place.
If you’d like photos at Surprise View, an engagement shoot is a great idea as you won’t have to worry about spending too much time away from your friends and family on your wedding day.
