A Documentary Approach

My style is mostly documentary, but you’ve heard that before right? What does it actually mean?

What I really mean is that for 90% of the day, I’m all about capturing those genuine, real moments as they unfold. No stiff poses or forced smiles here! I want to tell your unique story in the most natural and authentic way possible.

I take pride in finding the balance between being chatty and friendly, whilst also being as discreet as possible. That way I can capture those priceless shots that make you feel like you’re reliving the moment all over again.

Quick and Painless Groups & Portraits

Now, you might be wondering, what about the other 10%?!

That’s when we’ll focus on your couple portrait session. Don’t worry, it won’t take over your day! We’ll take a 15-minute stroll around your beautiful venue, capture some stunning, non-cheesy photos and have a great time while doing it! It will be a breeze, and before you know it, you’ll be back with your guests, celebrating.

Oh, and let’s not forget about those family group photos! I’ll make sure to capture a few of those for you too. You can find more details about family photos in the frequently asked questions section below, so be sure to check that out.

“We instantly loved Jenna’s down-to-earth, friendly approach. It’s SO important to click with your photographer and Jenna is super! She blended into our day, was fun to be around, and took the time to get to know us and what we wanted.”

My Photography is…

Timeless Not Trendy

Let’s be real for a moment. My photography is vibrant, colourful and fun but is definitely not “trendy”.

Let me explain…

Bride and groom dancing in the grain loft and Wood Lane

Your wedding is not some fancy, staged photoshoot (say it louder for those in the back).

I’m not interested in the latest trends in the photography world. Your photos are all about you, not me.

You’re tying the knot because you want to celebrate your relationship with your partner and have a blast with your family and friends, not because you want Vogue to publish a 6-page spread of your wedding. So don’t worry, I won’t be disappointed if your reception doesn’t feature a towering champagne display.

Your wedding photos last forever and I firmly believe they should stand the test of time, no matter what. In short, that means you won’t find any “artsy” blurred shots in your gallery.

I’m always focused on capturing the true essence of your day, how it really felt, with that extra pop of vibrant colours and warmth that’s become my signature style.

So, you’re looking for a friendly, laid-back photographer who’s all about capturing genuine moments?

If you want to relive your entire wedding day, then look no further!

Your wedding photos will be relaxed, fun and most of all, they will capture so many joyful moments! It this sounds right up your street, I’d love to hear more about your plans!

Got Questions?

Full-day packages start at £2k. Bespoke hourly coverage starts at £600 for off-peak dates. Add-ons are also available, so be sure to get in touch for a brochure full of exciting stuff!

Absolutely!

I know how important family shots are, especially for grandma who has already cleared a space on the mantelpiece since you announced your engagement…

I always encourage you to have around 6 group shots – just enough so that your smile is still real and not painfully stuck on your face after forcing it for ages. We’ll plan them in advance too so getting through them on the day will be an absolute breeze.

This means you’ll have more time to spend drinking pimms and prosecco at the bar, woohoo!

If you want expert advice to make sure your group photos are quick and painless, check out my wedding group photos guide.

I hear you, and I totally understand because I’m exactly the same!

When I photograph weddings I love to capture natural moments. No posing, no fakery just everyone having a good time. I’ve been told I’m a bit of a photo-ninja too, so I promise you’ll be having an amazing time and you won’t even notice I’m there!

When I steal you away for your couple photos, we’ll wander around your venue and laugh and chat about the day so far. I’ll only ever encourage you to be yourselves and focus on each other. Your couple session will be short, sweet and really relaxed. Easy peasy!

If you’re still nervous and fancy a test drive first, why not book a pre-wedding shoot? You can find out all the benefits of a pre-wedding shoot here.

I’ve been photographing weddings since 2018, but long before that, I was busy getting my fancy BA(Hons) Photography degree at the University of Huddersfield.

Going back even further, I studied photography at A level.

Photography has been in my blood from a very young age and I’ve made sure to steer my career path towards it since I left high school at 16! I’m definitely in it for the long haul and I’ve spent far too much on equipment over the years to give up now!

Yes!

I’m fully insured with public liability and professional indemnity insurance. I’m always happy to send over a copy of my official-ness if your venue asks for one!

I’ll dose myself right up and get on with it!

In all seriousness though, if I can’t attend your wedding due to illness (it would have to be pretty hardcore) then I would employ a photographer of a similar style and standing to take my place. I would still edit and deliver your images as normal.

I will stress that this is extremely unlikely and I have never had the need to do this before!

The photos I take are automatically backed-up in camera. As soon as I get home I’ll upload your images – but not before I’ve put my PJs on, of course. I’ll then triple back-up your photos onto another hard drive.

I always keep the original memory cards safe until I’ve delivered your gallery too so there’s no need to worry. You and your images will be in safe hands!

That’s super easy! Just head over to my contact page and get in touch to check my availability.

I can’t wait to hear about you and your plans!
