Intimate Huddersfield Town Hall Wedding Photography
Huddersfield Town Hall is a stunning Victorian civic building in the town centre.

The Register Office at Huddersfield Town Hall is a great option if you’re looking to have an intimate wedding ceremony at a venue with minimal fuss.
If you’re wondering what your intimate celebration at the town hall might look like, I hope my wedding photography will help your visualise your own day.

Local Wedding Photographer
Hey, I’m Jenna and I’m a wedding photographer local to West Yorkshire. I lived in Huddersfield for 12 years and I photographed many weddings in the local area in that time.
I’m all about capturing natural, relaxed, candid photos of couples and their family and friends on their wedding day. My photography style is colourful and fun! It’s all about telling the story of your wedding in a documentary way.
You can check out more of my wedding photography on the portfolio below!

Ceremony in the Ramsden Lounge
The Ramsden Lounge at Huddersfield town hall is a light room with tall ceilings and feature blue walls. Wooden crossback chairs seat up to 30 guests, so it’s the perfect space for a more intimate wedding ceremony and always looks great in wedding photos.

Ceremonies generally take around 15-20 minutes, depending on how much you choose to say.
The windows in the ceremony room are frosted glass which means people walking down Peel Street can’t see inside. It also means the natural light is nicely diffused which is very flattering for photos.

Things to Know About Weddings at Huddersfield Town Hall
There is no parking at the Town Hall itself. The closest carpark is Alfred Street Car Park, and this is only a 2 minute walk away.
If you’re having an intimate ceremony at the Town Hall, the wedding party will need to arrive at the venue around 20 minutes before your timeslot in order to speak to the registrars.
Head to the (step-free) entrance on Corporation Street and the reception staff will tell you what to do from there. Generally, wedding guests will wait by reception until the room is ready and they will be led down the corridor, ready to be seated.
After the ceremony, you’re able to use the beautiful feature staircase for a few portrait photos, which always looks lovely!

After this, you and your wedding party will be exit out of the main doors on Ramsden Street, and biodegradable confetti is welcome outside at this point. Please note that the Ramsden Street exit has several steps before getting down to street level.
Huddersfield Town Hall also offers other ceremony rooms such as the Old Court Room with its traditional wood panelling, and larger rooms suitable for a ceremony or wedding reception of up to 200 guests.

I love photographing intimate wedding celebrations at Huddersfield Town Hall so much! Get in touch if you’re getting married and looking for a local wedding photographer, I’d love to hear from you!
