A Relaxed Music-Themed Wedding at The Arches Dean Clough

If you’re planning a wedding at The Arches and you love music, you’ll enjoy this wedding!

When this couple first got in touch with me about their wedding, I was so thrilled. They were planning a really relaxed festival-themed wedding with lots of guests and live music for the reception.

The couple found me on Facebook after I posted some photos from a previous wedding at The Arches in Halifax. They are the sweetest people and I couldn’t wait to shoot their wedding!

The Excitement Before the Wedding

I started at Nxt Lvl, a bar next door to the venue, where the boys and all the guests were enjoying a pre-wedding drink. It was really exciting because the bar was packed and everyone was chatting and laughing.

The Vows

The wedding took place at The Arches and was a beautiful ceremony. They had a live singer, which everyone enjoyed. After the ceremony, they walked down the aisle together, and then the celebrations began.

The Reception

The wedding reception took place later that afternoon once The Arches had been transformed. They decorated the tables with handmade table names and lots of greenery. Each table was a different festival lineup as the couple loved live music. The top table featured the stunning Edison canopy table from Typical Type which looked amazing.

Couple Photos

It was a nice overcast day, which was perfect for photos. While the guests enjoyed drinks at the bar, we wandered around the venue doing fun and creative portraits. The bride wore a stunningly embellished white Whistles dress with long sleeves. She also wore a pearl headband which finished the look off so I made sure to get some bridal portraits too.

My favourite couple photo from our portrait session is one I took when we walked back to the venue. Check it out below!

The Party

After the meal, the couple brought out their personalised Beer Pong table which went down a storm with the guests. I loved photographing the reactions of the players. The couple decided not to have a first dance and instead just launched straight into the party which was great.

Kind Words From the Couple

“We love every single photo and looking through them brought back some amazing memories. You’ve captured the day perfectly, couldn’t have wished for anything better…Thank you once again for all your hard work and amazing photos. We’re so glad we found you. Your style and approach just made the day even more perfect.”

I had so much fun at this wedding as everyone was so laid-back! If you’re planning a relaxed wedding and you’re looking for a photographer, I’d love to hear from you!
