The Coniston Hotel is an amazing Hotel and Spa wedding venue in Skipton with stunning views and a beautiful lake. It was a gorgeous wedding day and the weather was incredible too!

The ceremony was lovely and intimate and took place in Winston’s Barn. It was really beautiful as they had decorated the area with blossom trees and a big floral centrepiece, which I loved. The reception was in the Macleod’s Suite at The Coniston Hotel – I love this venue because it has so many great opportunities for portraits. Weddings at The Coniston Hotel are awesome because the surroundings are absolutely amazing for photos.
Why The Coniston Hotel is a great place to get married
The Coniston Hotel has a really relaxed atmosphere and is one of the best places to get married in Skipton. The venue offers an onsite hotel so guests don’t have to travel home and a spa so they can relax the day after. There is a beautiful lake and a stone archway on the estate of The Coniston Hotel, both perfect for wedding photographs.
After the WEDDING ceremony
The couple had drinks and canapes in the afternoon, and lots of fun table games to play in the evening. I loved watching the bride’s reaction to the falling Jenga tower! For dinner, they had a slap-up meal and lots of wine. They finished off the evening with a group singalong to Jason Mraz around a grand piano – played by one of their guests. I had so much fun photographing this moment! Real moments at weddings are my favourite things to photograph.
THE COUPLE
The bride wore a stunning Rebecca Ingram dress embellished with flowers and the groom wore a blue tweed suit and they looked really incredible together. The bride had her veil hand-stitched with pearls and she also wore a pair of sparkly Jimmy Choos with a bag to match!
The couple got in touch with me back in 2019, and their Coniston Hotel wedding photography enquiry was really touching. They said they wanted a natural style of photography, and I loved that they just really wanted me there. I love photographing relaxed couples that just want happy photos.
