IF YOU’RE GETTING MARRIED AT WENTWORTH WOODHOUSE YOU’LL FIND TONS OF INSPIRATION FROM THIS WEDDING!
Wentworth Woodhouse is situated in a village of the same name in Rotherham and It is a Grade I listed country house and wedding venue. Wentworth Woodhouse is considered to have the longest facade of any building in England at 606ft in length. A wide-angle lens is a must-have for photographing weddings here!
They built Wentworth in the 18th Century on an estate of 15,000 acres. The house has over 300 rooms all with Georgian design and influence. The opportunities for wedding photos at Wentworth are endless because the interior is just as impressive as the exterior.
Wentworth Woodhouse is unique because it’s two adjoining houses that stand back to back. Both houses are different architectural styles. For instance, the West front and original part of the house was built in an English Baroque style. However, the East Front was completed later in classic Palladian style. Certainly, from a photographer’s perspective, Wentworth’s unique architectural features provide the perfect backdrop for your wedding gallery.
The Wedding
The bride wore a classic white dress with a lace top whilst the groom wore a traditional coat and tails which made them look really dapper together.
The ceremony was a beautiful service in The Long Gallery. They decorated the whole room with lots of amazing flowers from Unique Wedding Flowers and Chair Covers, which looked amazing. A brass band played as the bride entered and when they exited the ceremony, all the guests joined in with a huge confetti throw.
The reception was in the Marble Saloon at Wentworth Woodhouse. The couple had a brass band playing outside in the afternoon, and later on, surprise singing waiters. After dinner and the speeches, their first dance and evening party took place in the Pillared Hall.
