Victoria Hall Wedding Photos
In 2024 I photographed my first Victoria Hall wedding. After visiting, this beautiful wedding venue shot straight to the top of the list of venues in the Yorkshire area that I’d love to work at again, and luckily I was able to return once again in November 2025.
Victoria Hall is a stunning venue and Grade II listed building. Victoria Hall is in a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the town of Saltaire, West Yorkshire.

Victoria Hall was opened in 1871 by Sir Titus Salt, as a ‘centre for recreation, culture and learning’. Today the Hall remains used for conferences, community events, classes and of course, weddings!
If you’re a fan of interior design, and you love quirky, Wes Anderson style decor, then go ahead and book your wedding day at Victoria Hall.

Why Victoria Hall is Great for Weddings
Victoria Hall is the perfect year-round wedding venue. In the summer months, there is space outdoors for confetti and quirky streets of Saltaire right on the doorstep for portraits. In the colder months, there’s more than enough space inside the building itself for all your family and portraits.
Victoria Hall is popular for weddings in Yorkshire due to its unique style and amazing architectural features.
There are four event rooms and a huge main hall in the building, each with its own colour scheme, and all are bright and spacious, with lots of big windows. This means every one of the stunning rooms in this beautiful venue has a great backdrop for wedding photography.
For your ceremony, you can choose the room that you most like the look and feel of!

Ceremony in The Evans Room
The Evans Room on the ground floor of Victoria Hall is a large space with wooden floors and a neutral colour scheme. Windows along 2 walls let in lots of light making it perfect for natural wedding photos.

This room seats up to 150 wedding guests for a ceremony. It was such a pleasure to photograph this ceremony where the couple decided to walk down the aisle together in front of all their friends.

The Glen Room
Upstairs on the first floor is the Glen Room. Another beautiful space to host your wedding ceremony or even take care of group photographs if it’s raining or dark outside.
This is a November twilight wedding and it had such a cosy feel!

As it was already dark after the ceremony, I used flash to light these photos of the couple and their wedding guests.
If you’re having a winter wedding, it’s important to choose a wedding photographer who is experienced in capturing low-light situations and confident using flash or additional lighting.

At Victoria Hall, you’re lucky to have lots of five stunning rooms (including the main hall) available indoors for photos, which all look great.
The Dale Room and York Room, both on the first floor, are also available to choose from.
Wedding Celebrations in the Main Hall
The main hall really does have the wow factor for your special day. It is incredibly stylish and it has a raised stage, a huge dance floor and even a balcony above with theatre seats and amazing views. Festoon fairy lights are strung across the hall, which adds to the look and feel of the space.

This hall in this beautiful, listed venue seats up to 180 guests for your wedding breakfast and up to 350 guests can dance the night away at your evening reception.
The large stage is perfect if you’re planning on having live music at your wedding. This couple launched straight into a ceilidh instead of having a first dance and I was able to capture the action from the balcony above. I love being able to photograph a scene from above, as it gives a new perspective to the viewer.

Wedding Portraits on the Balcony
Upstairs at Victoria Hall, a balcony stretches the width of the main hall. It has original theatre seats, which make it a great spot to take in your wedding from.
I photographed this couple on the balcony so they had the stunning architecture of the main hall in the background of their photos.

At my most recent wedding at Victoria Hall, the couple had the whole venue to themselves so we made use of the stage area and captured couple portraits that really showed off this beautiful venue.

Here are more photographs from the gorgeous Victoria Hall weddings I’ve photographed so far. I can’t wait to be back for the next!
