The Oak Tree of Peover is a stunning 5-star exclusive wedding venue in the rural Cheshire countryside in the North West.
If You’re Planning Your Wedding Day at the Oak Tree of Peover in Cheshire, You’ll Find Tons of Inspiration From These Photos!
When I arrived at the beautiful oak frame venue for the first time, I knew that it was a wedding photographer’s dream! The natural light coming through the large oak-framed windows is flattering all year round. I’ve since photographed several weddings at this stunning venue and look forward to visiting again soon.
It is the perfect place for an intimate, relaxed wedding because of its secluded location. Surrounded by trees in rolling countryside, this Cheshire wedding venue has a cosy off-grid feel.
Ladybird Room Wedding Ceremony
The Ladybird Room is flooded with natural light from the windows on both sides and the windows in the high ceilings.
This ceremony room can be styled in so many different ways. One wedding ceremony here had stunning flower plinths with white roses, which I loved.
You can also have your civil ceremonies in the Acorn suite or even under the outdoor Pavillion in the warmer months.
Outdoor Pavilion Wedding
Ready for 2024 weddings, the outdoor area has been improved and freshly paved with new wooden benches for guests to be seated on.
Now, everyone can access the pavilion from the main building without walking across the grass, which is great news if you’re having an outdoor wedding but the weather in the lead-up has left the grass slightly wet and muddy.
I loved photographing this outdoor celebrant wedding. There was so much joy and laughter, and the colourful flowers around the pavilion made the photographs really pop!
Reception Drinks and Confetti
The front of The Oak Tree of Peover offers the perfect spot for confetti as guests can gather as the couple makes their entrance to shouts and cheers.
Acorn Lounge Wedding Breakfast
Receptions with a larger number of guests take place in the Acorn Lounge, the biggest room in the venue. The lounge has the same style with exposed oak beams and large windows with lots of light.
I love capturing natural moments and reactions from guests and family during wedding speeches. As a wedding photographer, it’s one of my favourite parts of the day.
Getting Ready
Upstairs at The Oak Tree, are two rooms that make up the getting ready suite. Complete with sofas, dressing tables and a full length mirror, it’s the perfect area for bridal preparations, knowing it’s just a short walk to get married.
Downstairs across the hall, there is another smaller, but bright and airy space perfect for the other party to get ready. In this case, it was the perfect area for the groom and his groomsmen to get ready in.
Why the Oak Tree of Peover is the Perfect Wedding Venue to Get Married
The former golf club venue offers an amazing atmosphere – and as a wedding photographer, I can assure you that there are so many beautiful places in the woodland areas nearby that are perfect for photos.
I love to photograph portraits during golden hour too if the opportunity is there as the photos are so much more enchanting to look at!
For these portraits, we took a walk around the venue in the early evening because the light is always more flattering for portrait photos when it’s lower in the sky.
